Yuval Zehavi is a theatre director interested in stories of the queer diaspora told through site-specific theatre and live performance in alternative spaces. He holds an MFA in Theatre Directing from UCLA.
Yuval has directed impactful site-specific productions such as 4000 Miles (2019), held in an actual apartment and inviting the audience to 91-year-old Vera’s living room, and Sebastian's Torments (2021), a reimagining of the love story between Yoav, the Biblical military commander, and the tormented Saint Sebastian. The production took place in a dungeon-esque gallery space which represented Yoav's home.
Moreover, Yuval has directed the plays Keffiyeh/Made in China (2023), set in the last keffiyeh factory in Palestine; The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told (2024), a queer and theatrical celebratory retelling of some of the major biblical narratives; Are You Entertained? (2025), a legally compliant and non-spectacular event that was definitely not a political cabaret about immigration law.
As a content creator, Yuval has been working with a diverse array of private clients, educational institutions and social organisations. He is passionate about creating engaging content which can drive social change through stories of people, communities and cultures worldwide.
